I am a Domestic Violence survivor.  On March 22, 2010, I fled my home and life as I knew it after hours of a frightening and horrific beating from my then-husband of 14 years.  As I endured fear, and wondering if I would even survive the night, I was able to escape the next day with my 4-year old son, and leave my husband, my home, all with a keepsake black eye, and swollen jaw.  I never looked back.   I tell you this not for pity, but to simply share my story, and offer this blog as a Domestic Violence resource and information page.
